API Testing (Mobile-Specific)
- API endpoint discovery: binary strings extraction, HTTP proxy traffic analysis, response body enumeration
- Version skew: mobile API version override (old API with fewer auth checks, newer API without rate limiting)
- Device fingerprint bypass: modify device ID, IMEI, advertising ID in headers
- Token storage: check for tokens in shared prefs, UserDefaults, plist files, SQLite, keystore/keychain
- Weak token generation: predictable tokens (timestamp-based, device-dependent, sequential)
- Rate limiting on mobile: often less aggressive on mobile, test from different IPs
