Phishing Campaign Design
Email Phishing
- Spoofing: SPF/DKIM/DMARC bypass via legitimate service abuse (SendGrid, Mailchimp, compromised SMTP)
- Template design: clone legitimate brand emails (password reset, account verification, document shared)
- URL obfuscation: redirect via open redirect, URL shortener, homograph attack (rnicrosoft.com)

- MFA bypass:

SMS Phishing (Smishing)
- SMS gateway: API-based sending (Twilio, AWS SNS) for bulk SMS with spoofed sender ID
- Link: domain with free hosting (Netlify, Vercel, GitHub Pages) for more legitimate appearance
- Trigger: urgency (package delivery failed, account suspended, unauthorized login attempt)
Voice Phishing (Vishing)
- Caller ID spoofing: VoIP provider with outbound CID manipulation
- Script: IT support password reset, vendor payment verification, executive assistant scheduling
- Harvesting: Multi-factor recovery code capture, remote access tool installation (AnyDesk, TeamViewer)
- AI voice cloning: short sample from LinkedIn/GitHub presentation -> real-time voice impersonation
Physical Social Engineering
Tailgating/Piggybacking
- Approach: hands full (box, coffee), employee badge visible but not scanned
- Conversation: maintain casual conversation ("forgot my badge, thanks for holding the door")
- Target: smoking area, coffee shop, lobby entrance, loading dock
Desk and Device Access
- Screen lock observation: note PIN entry on phone/laptop (shoulder surfing)
- Sticky note capture: credentials written on monitor, desk, or under keyboard
- USB drop: branded USB drive in parking lot or lobby (autorun.inf for background execution)
- Charging station: malicious USB cable (OMG Cable) for keystroke injection at public charging ports
OSINT for Targeting
- LinkedIn: job titles, organizational structure, tech stack from postings, team members
- GitHub: employee profiles -> repo access -> commit history -> personnel IDs, email patterns
- Corporate website: leadership team, departments, vendor partnerships, office locations
- Job postings: technology stack, security tools used (detect by required certs like CISSP, OSCP)
- Conference talks: employee presentations -> social dynamics, technical interests, travel dates
- Whois/DNS: email format pattern (first.last@company.com, flast@company.com)
Reporting Format
- Campaign type: email/sms/voice/physical
- Target scope: department, role, geographic region
- Success rate: clicks (% and count), credential submission, attachment open
- Compromise timeline: first click, first credential submission
- Recommendations: security awareness gaps, MFA configuration, SPF/DKIM/DMARC configuration
